A development piece drawn from my visit to Macau, consisting of Asian architecture with a modern element. My cultural heritage originates from Hong Kong, and so within the architecture and language protrayed on the signs, it is symbolic of my own cultural identity. -A2

This development piece was conducted for my Identity project - the splatter of watercolours are representative of a person's own colour and identity. Their character is shown from their own traits, their own colour, so I incorporated this idea within the background of St.Paul's Cathedral, demonstrating the different variations and types of people that go to church.

I overcame my weakness of painting by painting this piece by Andy Beck. I changed the background colour to a dark shade as the light blue background in the original painting made me feel that the focus on the girl was lost.

Drawing of the simplistic structures of Hong Kong's buildings - The simple design is reflective of one's identity, however a person's identity becomes more complex after being influenced by other people's identities. This is illustrated in the drawing above.
